MINOT, ND — A request by the defense for a change of venue in the trial of a woman accused of killing Anita Knutson in Minot has been granted.
District Judge Richard Hagar filed his order on Friday. The decision allows the jury trial for Nichole Rice to be moved from Ward County where the judge agreed that there was prejudice against Rice.
Judge Hagar says Burleigh, Cass and Grand Forks counties are possible alternatives.
