J.D. Vance defends comments against Kamala Harris while discussing “childless cat ladies”

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican nominee for vice president JD Vance is defending remarks he made in 2021 about “childless cat ladies” running the country.

Vance faced backlash this week for the comments he previously made referring to Vice President Kamala Harris and other Democrats, in which he argued the party is “controlled by people without children.” Vance told “The Megyn Kelly Show” that the media has attacked him for his sarcasm and not on the substance of what he said.

Vance argued the Democratic Party is becoming “anti-family and anti-child.”
