Ex-Minnesota professor fired for refusing COVID-19 vaccine sues Gov Walz, former employer

Duluth, M.N. – A former Minnesota college professor who was fired for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine is filing a lawsuit against Governor Tim Walz.

60-year old Russell Stewart, who taught ethics and philosophy at Lake Superior College in Duluth, is naming Walz and his old employer in the lawsuit.

Stewart was fired in 2022 for not abiding by the state’s vaccine mandate at the time.

The 60-year old not only wants his job back, but wants his firing and the mandate to be declared unconstitutional.
