(Eugene, OR) — Former Gopher track star Matthew Wilkinson has qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
He finished second in last night’s three-thousand-meter steeplechase at the track and field Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon.
Wilkinson finished in eight minutes, 23 seconds flat behind Kenneth Rooks eight minutes, 21-point-94 seconds.
The full U.S. Olympic track and field delegation is not scheduled to be set until July 7.
