(EAST GRAND FORKS) – Movement towards changing the East Grand Forks zoning code with regard to solar panels made its first moves Tuesday night, as the East Grand Forks City Council gave its first approval. The changes, if enacted by the Council, would add the possibility for residents and businesses in the city to add solar panels to their properties. Under the current city zoning code, there’s no information as to what the city would – or would not – allow in the way of solar panels. Further action is needed by the city council to enact the law.
