Dollar General announces planned closure of 96 stores across the country

(GOODLETTSVILLE, TENN.) – Dollar General Corporation has announced its plans to close stores within its chains.

The company, during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024, completed a review of its stores and identified stores to be closed or re-bannered under a different brand.

Of the stores, 96 Dollar General stores were identified as stores to be closed by the company.

In a statement to Flag Family Media, Dollar General says the plan includes the local closure of a store on Broadway Street in Thompson by the end of April.

The company says its three other Grand Forks County stores will remain open.
