Detroit Lakes, MN — A 24-year-old is hospitalized after disappearing underwater in an apparent drowning today.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to the drowning at approximately 3:26 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the water area near Zorbaz, or the 400 block of West Lake Drive. Several agencies responded to the incident, and a citizen was able to locate the male who went underwater. He was found unresponsive and not breathing, and was transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
The name of the individual is not public at this time. An investigation is underway.
