Dead kittens lead to sentencing of Bismarck woman

BISMARCK, ND — A Bismarck woman has been sentenced to one-and-a-half years of probation in an animal cruelty case.

The charges stem from kittens that were found dead in a backpack along a roadside in Mandan last year. Investigators determined that the kittens were left there by Taylor Jensen who tried to drop the kittens off at a local animal rescue, but was turned away because she didn’t follow the facility’s surrender policies.
