Bismarck to consider camping prohibition ordinance

(BISMARCK) – The City of Bismarck is looking at enacting an ordinance to prohibit camping. On Tuesday, the Bismarck City Commission considered a request from City Attorney Jannelle Combs to create the ordinance. In accompanying documentation, the ordinance is said to ‘prohibit encampments where individuals set up fires, tents, furniture and other items that are more than a person can carry.’ A public hearing on the issue is set for October 8.
