(Bismarck, ND) — Several bills that, if enacted, would have negatively impacted North Dakota’s carbon-dioxide pipelines are going nowhere for the time being.
Proponents had argued that the measures would have protected landowners against potentially dangerous pipelines. Critics asserted that the bills posed a danger to Summit Carbon Solutions, which is already heavily insured. Each of the six bills attracted less than 30 supporting votes.
Authorities say the measures faced similar opposition in the state senate last week, as well.
