Armstrong to announce appointment of Public Service Commissioner

(BISMARCK, ND) – Governor Kelly Armstrong is set to announce the appointment of the person who will fill the vacant position on the Public Service Commission.

The appointee will fill Julie Fedorchak’s seat on the three-person commission. Fedorchak was elected to Congress in November and sworn in Friday as North Dakota’s sole member of the U.S. House of Representatives. She had served on the PSC since 2013 and was re-elected to a six-year term in 2022. The person appointed by Armstrong to fill the PSC seat will serve until the November 2026 general election, which will determine who serves the remaining two years of the term through 2028.

The appointment will be announced in a press conference at 2 p.m. Monday.
