Governor Kelly Armstrong’s conversation with News Reporter Chris Larson on property tax debate
(FARGO, ND) – Governor Kelly Armstrong says he’s enjoying his time back in Bismarck.
Especially with the legislative session in full swing.
“It’s fun to be back,” Armstrong said. “I’m very conscious. I don’t watch a lot of floor debate, because I get FOMO (fear of missing out).”
The Governor is a former member of the North Dakota Senate – and was in the U.S. House before coming home to be Governor.
“I’m a legislator at heart,” he said.
Among the topics he’s most excited about is property tax.
“I’m excited that the property tax discussion continues to move forward,” Armstrong said. “We continue to push forward policies.”
He said he believes the property tax bills brought forward will get the issue ‘mostly’ to where he wants it to be.
“I think that’s all you can ask for with the legislative process,” Armstrong said. “What I’m really excited is it’s not stuck in the mud.”
