‘A lot of good work’ on property tax legislation for upcoming N.D. session

(BISMARCK, ND) — North Dakota House Majority Leader Mike Lefor says there are a number of bills that will be introduced when it comes to the property tax issue. Citing attorney-client privilege, Lefor says he’s not sure exactly what the bills will contain.

“I’ve had several legislator explain what their thoughts are, and that’s led to really good discussion,” he said.

The leader says a lot of work has been done by citizen-legislators over the last year to bring the ideas to the table.

“I want us to have some patience to properly vet these ideas so we can come up with the best possible package,” Lefor said. “I do think there’s some great ideas out there. A lot of good work has been done by quite a few legislators over the last year.”
