MN DNR introduces new marine unit

(St. Paul, MN)  —  The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is introducing a new marine unit that will focus on boating safety.

Officials said yesterday the new unit will be highly visible in the state’s busiest boating areas.

Officers will be stationed in the Twin Cities metro as well as Duluth and Alexandria.

The DNR is asking boaters to be safe during the holiday weekend by wearing life jackets, being patient on the water and leaving the alcohol on shore.
