(Fargo, ND) — A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled this week for a new battered women’s shelter in Bemidji.
The four-point-one million dollar facility will replace the 46-year-old Northwoods Battered Women’s Shelter.
The new shelter will feature eight bedrooms, five offices, two intake rooms, a playroom, a meeting room, laundry, and a huge room with a kitchen.
Groundbreaking is set for Friday. The facility will open next spring.
