(Minot, ND) — The Minot Public School Board is closing two elementary schools.
A six-million-dollar budget shortfall is forcing the closures of Bell and McKinley elementary schools.
The board voted 3–2 yesterday to approve the closures.
Bell students will attend John Hoeven Elementary while plans including busing for McKinley students are still being finalized.
