(Fargo, ND) — Shannon Joseph Brandt was sentenced in Foster County today to five years in prison for using his vehicle to kill 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson.
Brandt was convicted on a manslaughter charge.
Brandt ran over Ellingson on September 18th, 2022, following a street dance in McHenry.
Brandt’s attorney, Mark Friese, tells WDAY Radio Now that Brandt will get 356 days credit for time served.
