WASHINGTON, D.C. — Donald Trump’s running mate is defending the former president’s comments questioning Kamala Harris’ racial identity.
In an interview with CNN’s “State of the Union,” Ohio Senator JD Vance accused Harris of being a “chameleon.” He said the vice president is “fundamentally a fake person,” claiming she’s overly scripted and refuses to take questions from the media.
Trump last month claimed Harris, who is biracial, previously claimed Indian heritage but then “turned Black.”
