WASHINGTON – Cold weather is forcing President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony to be moved indoors.
Trump confirmed the news in a post on Truth Social. Temperatures are expected to reach below freezing in the nation’s capital on Monday.
Trump and Vice President-Elect JD Vance will now be sworn into office in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. The inaugural parade and a watch party will be held at Capital One Arena.
This will be the third time a presidential inauguration is held indoors, the others being for President William Howard Taft in 1909 and President Ronald Reagan in 1985.
