Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar was the first person.. and only Democrat who spoke during the Trump inauguration ceremony.
She spoke as part of her role as the Chairwoman of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inauguration Ceremonies.
“It is the moment when leaders elevated by the will of the people promise to be faithful to our constitution. To cherish and defend it. It is the moment when they become as we all should be, the guardians of our country,” Klobuchar said.
Klobuchar also spoke at President Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021 in her same role.
