Kamala Harris accepts Democratic Party’s Presidential nomination

WDAY RADIO — Kamala Harris is now the official nominee for the Democratic Party as the DNC comes to a close.

The Vice President took to the stage Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and formally accepted the nomination “on behalf of the people.” In her acceptance speech, Harris said she’s used to being underestimated, but that the future “is always worth fighting for.” She also urged everyone to vote and “write the next great chapter in the most extraordinary story ever told.”

Harris is the first Black woman and the first Asian American to accept the nomination from a major U.S. political party.
