ATLANTA, GA — The first debate of the 2024 presidential election is just days away.
President Biden is set to face off against his political rival Donald Trump on Thursday in a debate hosted by CNN in Atlanta. The candidates will make their pitch to voters less than five months before the election. Both have accepted new rules and a new format for the 90-minute debate, which will not include a live audience and requires that their microphones be muted when the other is speaking.
Biden headed to Camp David late last week to huddle with top White House and campaign aides and hold mock debates. Meanwhile, Trump held a series of private meetings with allies and hit the campaign trail over the weekend in Philadelphia.
WDAY Radio and AM 1100 The Flag will be hosting live debate coverage. Pre-Debate Coverage on AM1100 The Flag begins at 7:30pm with Steve Hallstrom, Scott Hennen, and Jay Thomas live on radio and online on our video stream at AM1100TheFlag.com.
The debate begins at 8:00 p.m. on both stations.
