WDAY RADIO — Donald Trump is trying to distance himself from a conservative think tank’s plan for the next GOP presidency.
Trump on his Truth Social media platform said Friday he knows “nothing about Project 2025” put forward by the Heritage Foundation. He said he disagrees with some of the things they group is proposing, claiming some are “absolutely ridiculous and abysmal.” The project full of conservative initiatives recommends more direct presidential control of government agencies like the Department of Justice.
Democrats have railed against the project and pointed to it as evidence of an extreme agenda that would be ushered in if Trump wins in November.
