Cramer: “I still have high aspirations for Doug”

(MILWAUKEE, WI) – Shortly after learning former President Donald Trump passed over North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum for Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his vice-presidential pick, United States Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) still had high praise for Burgum.

“I still have high aspirations for Doug,” Sen. Cramer said. “His brain is so big in his experience, so deep in the area of energy policy (and) how that affects the economy that really be applied to a major position.”

Multiple social media posts suggested Burgum was referred to as “Mr. Secretary” when called by the Trump team to deliver the news that the Governor was not Trump’s running mate. A Burgum spokesman said he could not confirm whether or not the reference was made.
