Western North Dakota experiencing drought, high fire conditions

(WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA) — Counties in western and central North Dakota continue to be at a high or very high fire danger.

Data from ND Response leads to a recommendation that fireworks, recreational fires and open burning should not happen in those areas. The areas are also experiencing either extreme, severe or moderate drought.

A wildfire broke out in Adams County, near Lemmon. As of Wednesday night, the fire had burned roughly 4,000 acres.
