(WEST FARGO, ND) – Changes are coming to the West Fargo Public Library.
Beginning on January 5, 2025, the West Fargo Public Library will be closed on Sundays. Currently, the facility is open on Sundays from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Labor Day through Memorial Day, and closed on Sundays during the summer months.
West Fargo Public Library Director Jenna Kahly says the changes in operating hours are due to challenges in staffing the service desk seven days a week.
Also, beginning June 1, only those who live or own property within the city of West Fargo will be eligible to receive a free resident library card. Currently, anyone who lives within the school district’s boundary, which extends beyond the city of West Fargo, is eligible.
Late fees have also been removed.
The library’s satellite location, located at West Fargo City Hall, is set to open in early 2025.
