Vehicle fire on I-94 leads to traffic delays Wednesday afternoon

FARGO, ND — Two people escaped injury when the pickup they were riding in caught fire on I-94 in Fargo yesterday afternoon.

The crash happened in the westbound lane near the Red River Bridge at around 1:30 p.m.  Two people from Davenport, North Dakota escaped the 2007 Dodge Ram pickup which became engulfed and was destroyed.

It’s not known what caused the fire, which created traffic back-ups, and led to a minor injury crash on the interstate in Moorhead.
