Unattended death reported at MSUM campus

(MOORHEAD, MINN) – Campus officials at Minnesota State University Moorhead have confirmed that an unattended death investigation is underway.

Kristi Monson, Director of Communications at the University, confirmed the news to Flag Family Media News. She said a campus alert went out Friday informing the MSUM community about the situation.

Flag Family Media has obtained the campus notice.

“It is with great sadness that I share the news of a student death in an on-campus residence hall,” President Tim Downs wrote in an e-mail communication to students. “The student was found unresponsive in their room this morning.”

Downs’ email says there is no threat to the campus community, and that the student’s family has been notified.
