CLAY COUNTY, Minn. – A Spring Lake Park, Minnesota man is arrested following a stolen vehicle chase in Clay County.
Deputies heard from an Anoka County detective tracking the vehicle around 3:30 on Monday. It was going into Clay County on Interstate 94 with a possibly armed driver. A deputy tried to do a traffic stop, but the vehicle kept going. Stops sticks were used twice and the driver got off on the Sabin exit and went north on State Highway 336. Authorities say the driver got out of the car and ran. K9 Kash was sent after the suspect and he was taken into custody. Kash also found a handgun. Two other people were detained and released.
Twenty-three-year-old Cole Meadows was taken to the hospital and then to the Clay County Jail on possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing and driving under revocation charges.
