Suspect detained in Moorhead bank robbery

MOORHEAD, Minn. – A person of interest is detained after a bank robbery in Moorhead.

Police say at 8:20 Friday morning a man walked into First International Bank at 865 37th Avenue South, said he had a weapon and demanded money. Authorities say he got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Based on the man’s description and witness statements, a person of interest was detained at the Bison Plains Lodge a block away 20 minutes later. Police say no weapon was shown at the bank and a K9 is on scene investigating.
