Renaissance Zone Authority approves updates to plan

(FARGO) – The City of Fargo’s Renaissance Zone has seen nearly 300 completed projects to date, according to City Planning Coordinator for Urban Development Maegin Elshaug.  Of those projects, 118 have resulted in residential purchases. The zone’s value has increase from $197 million in 1999 to more than $970.5 million this year. At the Renaissance Zone Authority’s meeting Wednesday, the authority moved approval of the updated plan, which will now be presented to the Fargo School Board and Cass County Commission in November, before being acted upon by the Fargo City Commission in December.
