Fargo, N.D. – Average citizens have a chance to receive free training to recognize and respond to an opioid crisis.
The Fargo Public Library is partnering with Fargo Cass Public Health to show people how to spot signs of an overdose, and how to administer naloxone.
Naloxone, better known as ‘Narcan’, is a nasal spray that can quickly reverse the side effects of an opioid overdose.
Anyone who takes part will receive free Narcan following the training, which will take place at the city’s downtown main library t 101 4th Street North this Thursday, April 3 at 6pm.
The event is free and open to the public. Teens and adults are encouraged to attend.
