BEMIDJI, Minn. – Federal prosecutors thank the work of the Douglas County and Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office for their investigation into the sale of meth leading to an indictment.
Court documents say 48-year-old Jerami Leno of North Dakota conspired with others to have and sell meth in the state. He’s also accused of having a semi-automatic pistol which he’s prohibited from having because of a felony conviction in Yellowstone County, Montana for criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
“The U.S. Attorney’s Office serves every corner of this state. We will continue to rely on our state and local partners so that together, we can identify those who peddle deadly poison to our communities and bring them to federal justice,” Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa Kirkpatrick said.
Leno faces federal charges of conspiracy to distribute meth, possession with intent to distribute meth, illegal possession of a firearm as a felon, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
