(WEST FARGO, ND) – Crews from five fire departments converged on West Fargo to fight a commercial structure fire.
The fire was called in to the area of the 300 block of 7th Street NW. When crews arrived on scene, smoke and flames were visible from the commercial two-stall garage.
The fire was initially electrical in nature and crews were unable to make immediate entry until the power to the building was successfully shut off. Once the electricity was turned off, crews made entry into the building and quickly knocked down the fire.
The cause is under investigation.
In addition to West Fargo fire crews, firefighters from Fargo, Moorhead, Southern Valley Fire and Rescue and the West Fargo Rural Fire Department responded. West Fargo Police, Sanford Ambulance and the Salvation Army were also on scene.
