FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Authorities are sharing new details about a crash that left three people hurt Friday night in south Fargo.
A 20-year-old motorcyclist is in the hospital with serious injuries and may soon face felony charges.
Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting identified the driver as Avery Quiner, a correctional officer who has been with the department for about a year.
Authorities say he fled from officers at speeds of 140 miles per hour, running red lights at busy intersections along the way.
Quiner later crashed with another vehicle and was thrown from the bike at the intersection of 52nd Ave. S. and 31st St. S.
Two people in that car were hurt in the crash.
The State Attorney’s Office is pursuing fleeing and reckless endangerment charges.
