More than 1.1 million Minnesotans have voted

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon announces 1,174,224 Minnesotans have cast their ballots early or by absentee ballot.

One-hundred-fifty-thousand absentee ballots have yet to be returned.

If you still have an absentee ballot, you can drop it off at your county office or have someone you trust deliver it for you by the time polls close at eight p.m. or to vote in-person on Election Day.

“At that very instant your absentee ballot would be cancelled. It would be undone, so no one could swipe it and turn it in and proport to vote in your place,” Simon said.

Simon believes all votes will be counted in Minnesota by Wednesday morning.
