WASHINGTON – A Buffalo, Minnesota woman has been honored with the Presidential Citizen’s Medal for her military service and for founding the Vietnam Women’s Memorial Foundation.
Health issues prevented Diane Carlson Evans from traveling to the White House to receive the medal from President Joe Biden, so other veterans accepted the medal in her honor.
The medal recognizes citizens who have performed exemplary deeds of service for their fellow citizens.
