SAINT PAUL, Minn. – A bill introduced in the Minnesota Senate would require an emergency response plan in all schools to prevent deaths associated with cardiac arrest.
Last session a bill was approved requiring the Department of Education to mirror plans at the state level in which schools could use if desired.
This new bill would require schools to have written policies on how to respond, where defibrillators are located and more training.
Lawmakers on both sides appear to be interested in the bill.
