Missing man found in Arthur, ND through law enforcement coordination, help from public

ARTHUR, N.D. – A missing man is found in Arthur, North Dakota through the coordination of law enforcement, first responders and the public.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was sent to the Good Samaritan Center around 2:45 Thursday morning because of a high risk, missing 47-year-old man. Facility officials say the man left the building going into subzero temperatures. Deputies and the Arthur Fire Department looked for the man and an Everbridge notification was sent to the community.

The Sheriff’s Office says around 5:00 someone told dispatch they saw someone walking in the area of County Roads 4 and 11. Deputies found the man in the area and he was taken back to the facility without any known medical problems.

“The Cass County Sheriff’s Office extends its gratitude to the Arthur Fire Department and the community members who remained vigilant and contributed to this successful outcome. This incident highlights the importance of community collaboration in ensuring the safety of our residents,” The Cass County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
