Matt Gaetz withdraws his nomination for Attorney General

WASHINGTON – Former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz has withdrawn his nomination as U.S. Attorney General.

This comes as the House Ethics Committee, which Minnesota GOP Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach is on, voted not to release its report on allegations that Gaetz had sex with 17-year-old girls and used illegal drugs. President-Elect Donald Trump said before Gaetz made the announcement that he was not reconsidering his pick for Attorney General.

Trump says he still supports Gaetz on a post on Truth Social.
