(BARNES COUNTY, ND) – A Mandan man is dead after a wrong-way crash on I-94 in Barnes County.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened early Monday afternoon on I-94 near Eckelson. A 2025 Toyota Camry, driven by the 44-year-old Mandan man, was eastbound in the westbound lates of I-94 when it struck a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse head-on, driven by a 74-year-old Bismarck man.
The 44-year-old Mandan man was pronounced dead on scene, while the 74-year-old Bismarck man was transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City, and later Sanford Hospital in Fargo, with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
