FARGO, N.D. – Twenty-nine-year-old Austin Lester of Tokio, North Dakota pleads guilty for charges in the death of a three-year-old on the Spirit Lake Reservation.
The child died in August 2022.
Lester is scheduled to be sentenced on involuntary manslaughter, child neglect and assault of a child with a dangerous weapon charges August 5.
Co-defendant Krissy Hinsley has a change of plea and sentencing hearing July 28 on involuntary manslaughter and child neglect charges.
