Man arrested on suspicion of DUI after Sargent Co. crash

SARGENT COUNTY, N.D. – A man is hospitalized after authorities say he crashed his vehicle while drunk in Sargent County.

The crash happened around 10:45 Wednesday night. The Highway Patrol says a pickup driven by 44-year-old Knowell Gilbert of of Cayuga, North Dakota went into the ditch, rolled and stopped on Lake Tewaukon. Troopers say he was wearing a seat belt.

Gilbert was taken to a hospital in Oakes for non-life threatening injuries. Two passengers weren’t hurt.

Gilbert was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving without a license and insurance.
