Interview with Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner on The Steve Hallstrom Show
(FARGO, ND) – Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner says the opening of the new addition of the Cass County Jail may be delayed.
“In our last architectural meeting, we were notified that the glass, that goes in the cell doors, had not been ordered,” he told The Steve Hallstrom Show on Wednesday. That order was either not done on time or it was behind on being ordered.
He said there was a meeting with the architect of the building – one he called ‘a concerning meeting. He said the situation ‘was unacceptable.’
“There’s some public safety riding on the completion of that building,” Jahner said.
The handover is still targeted to be on time – but Jahner said they’ve been given a ‘worst case scenario’ of being 30 days behind schedule.
