(BISMARCK, ND) – The North Dakota Legislature sustained a pair of vetoes by Governor Kelly Armstrong.
The House voted 48-45 to sustain the veto on House Bill 1540, a bill that would allow for an education savings account program for students who are not enrolled in public school or a homeschool program.
The Senate voted 25-20 to sustain Armstrong’s veto of Senate Bill 2307, a bill that would have required school and public libraries to remove any content that was deemed to be ‘sexually explicit’ and put it in areas not easily accessible to children.
