WEST FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Newly filed court documents say former West Fargo principal David George is expected to enter a guilty plea to the federal child sex abuse charges against him.
George is charged with four federal charges, including Transportation of a Minor, Receipt of Images Depicting the Sexual Exploitation of Children, Distribution of Images Depicting the Sexual Exploitation of Children, and Possession of Images Depicting the Sexual Exploitation of Children. “Defendant will voluntarily plead guilty to Counts One, Three and Four of the indictment” the documents note.
The former principal was arrested and charged with possession of child sex abuse materials in August of 2023. Court documents say around October of 2022, George knowingly transported “Jon Doe” out of North Dakota and into South Dakota, with the intent that the boy would engage in sexual activity.
Court documents also say from January of 2020 to August of 2023, George knowingly received visual depictions of a minor engaging in sexual explicit conduct through the internet. Court documents say George had over 600 images of child sex abuse materials.
At sentencing, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says they will recommend a sentence of 40 years in prison for David George. The charge of plea hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 28th.
