(GRAND FORKS, ND) – One person has been arrested for attempted armed robbery and kidnapping after an incident in Grand Forks Monday afternoon.
Police were called to the 2100 block of 17th Avenue South on a report of a man pointing a gun at another man. When officers arrived on scene, they began clearing victims from around the Islamic Center to attempt to identify where the suspect was. One person was detained at the time.
Authorities learned that Abdi Ahmedali got into a vehicle, pointed a gun at the victim and made him drive to the Islamic Center.
