CASS COUNTY, ND — The Cass County Sheriff’s office isn’t commenting on its investigation of a now-former sheriff’s deputy.
County officials say Darin Viken was placed on administrative leave on July 17th and subsequently terminated from his employment this past Monday. The state Bureau of Criminal Investigation reportedly is assisting on the case. Prior to his termination, Viken had served as coordinator of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office 24/7 Sobriety Program.
The investigation is now seeking anyone in the community who has had negative interactions with Former Deputy Viken.
