(DILWORTH, MINN) – Crews from Dilworth and Moorhead responded to a fire at just after 1 a.m. this morning in the 1600 block of 3rd Avenue NW. Upon arrival, crews made entry and found the fire was contained to the living area of a single apartment on the first floor of the building, and that the building sprinkler system had stopped the fire from spreading. Crews remained on scene to put out the remaining fire within 10 minutes and then searched for other occupants – with none being found. The building was evacuated and nobody was injured. The cause and estimate of loss is under investigation, according to Dilworth Fire Chief Scott Payne.
