(FARGO, ND) — Outgoing Fargo Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Rupak Gandhi is now asking to leave sooner than initially planned.
Instead of a June 30th exit, Gandhi is requesting to leave more than three weeks prior to that date on June 5th.
“Superintendent Dr. Gandhi has informed me that his personal schedule in June 2025 would require many days out of the District,” wrote Board President Katie Christensen Mineer in a memo to board members. “As such, he requests to move his resignation date from his position.”
Mineer’s memo was attached to the Fargo School Board’s agenda to be considered during their upcoming April 22nd meeting.
If the board approves the changes, Dr. Robert Grosz will take over as interim superintendent until Dr. Cory Steiner officially becomes superintendent on July 1.
But prior to his official start date, Mineer also wants Steiner to work eight paid workdays in June in order to get acquainted with the District and upcoming needs.
